The yellow poppy flowers in the back were made by Fetchko glass then carefully placed by Matt Kelley behind a layer of crushed opal, beautifully contrasted with one of Matt’s roses flourishing out of the middle. The stem of the rose goes deep into the back of the marble.

The fume in this marble pops with metallic colors ranging from yellow to purple, creating a dreamscape-like alien volcano. The back includes one of his early attempts at the ringcalmo and to me looks like smiley faces.

Made by Losi Wells in 2015 this giant orb is filled with fume work. From the fume vortex to the silver fume dots on the back that shine through when backlit, it all gets tied together with a ring full of surface work. This orb measures at a hair under 74mm and would make an amazing centerpiece to any marble collection or as a huge desk ornament.
